About Professor (Dr.) Mayank Dhaundiyal

Dr. Mayank currently serves as the Dean of Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) at O. P. Jindal Global University, an Institution of Eminence in India. With over 17 years of extensive experience, his career has encompassed pivotal leadership roles focused on strategic planning, organisational innovation and transformation, P&L, faculty and staff management, student recruitment and retention, academic programme development, industry partnerships, accreditation initiatives, and the overall branding and management of the business school. Prior to joining O. P. Jindal Global University, Dr. Mayank held positions at renowned institutions such as Shiv Nadar University (the Institution of Eminence), Bennet University (part of The Times Group), and Technological University Dublin in Ireland.

Dr. Mayank has an established track record of successfully conceptualising and implementing initiatives instrumental in turning around the operations, leading to significant improvements in the business school's reputation and overall performance. With his innovative ideas, skills to effectively implement and ability to inspire teams, Dr. Mayank has consistently driven positive change and fostered a culture of excellence within the institution.

Dr. Mayank holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Technological University Dublin, Ireland; an M.Sc. in Marketing (First Class Honours) from Technological University Dublin, Ireland; and a B.Tech. in Information Technology (First Class) from VIT University, India. He also holds certifications in various domains from the University of Manchester (UK), University College Dublin (Ireland), Northern Illinois University (USA), Indian Institute of Management (India), IDEO-U (USA), LEGO® Serious Play® (Denmark), Palladium Kaplan-Norton (BSC), and Innovative Learning Solutions (USA).

His research interests are in the areas of organisational strategy, strategic alliances, resource-based and dynamic capability views, and firm-level capability development. He has published his work on these research areas in multiple international peer-reviewed (ABDC/ABS/SCOPUS listed) journals, such as Industrial Marketing Management (ABDC A-star, ABS 3), International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management (ABDC A), Annals of Operations Research (ABDC A), and International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (ABDC A), as well as in multiple top strategy and management conferences, including the Academy of Management (USA), Strategic Management Society (USA), European Academy of Management (Belgium), Academy of International Business (USA), British Academy of Management (UK), and Irish Academy of Management (Ireland).

In addition to his research pursuits, Dr. Mayank is widely regarded as an exceptional educator, consistently receiving top student feedback across the various courses he has taught at different institutions. He employs a diverse range of teaching pedagogies, including computer simulations, experiential activities inside and outside the classroom, case studies, group projects, and traditional lectures. He firmly believes in the "Socratic" and "learning-by-doing" methods, employing them extensively to consistently surpass learning objectives in his courses.

Dr. Mayank has extensive international travel experience across multiple countries in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Dr. Mayank possesses a keen interest in India's entrepreneurial and startup ecosystems, providing guidance to select startups. His thought leadership extends to frequent contributions in the form of articles and opinion pieces on contemporary international and national issues, published in leading English dailies such as the Times of India, Economic Times, Business Standard, and Deccan Herald. Furthermore, he is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, seminars, and panel discussions.
